Section 175 (Charging): Generator: Removal

  1. Remove engine under cover.
  2. Remove V-bank cover and engine room side cover RH.
  3. Remove drive belt.

    Loosen the belt tension by turning the drive belt tension counterclockwise, and remove the drive belt.

    NOTE: The tension pulley has a left-hand thread.

  4. Disconnect power steering oil cooler pipe from oil pan.

    Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws, disconnect the 2 power steering oil cooler pipes from the oil pan.

  5. Remove generator.
    1. Disconnect the generator connector.
    2. Remove the rubber cap and nut, disconnect the generator wire.
    3. Remove the bolt and cord clip from the generator.
    4. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts, wire bracket and generator.
