Interior Light System: Inspection

  1. Overhead J/B side: INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Disconnect the overhead J/B assembly connector.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the overhead J/B assembly.

  2. Rear room light: INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY CONTINUITY

    If continuity is not as specified, replace bulb or rear personal light assembly.

  3. INSPECT VANITY LIGHT CONTINUITY

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the vanity light assembly or bulb.

  4. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY 
    1. Check that continuity exists between terminals and the switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released: opened door).
    2. Check that no continuity exists between terminals and the switch body with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed in: closed doors)

      If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

  5. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CONTINUITY 

    Using an ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.

  6. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT CONTINUITY 

    Using an ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.

  7. INSPECT GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT CONTINUITY 

    Using the ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.

  8. INSPECT LICENSE PLATE LIGHT CONTINUITY 

    Using the ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.

  9. INSPECT STEP LIGHT CONTINUITY 

    Using the ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.

  10. INSPECT OUTER FOOT LIGHT 

    Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 10 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that the outer foot light goes on.
