Height Control Sensor Sub-ASSY Front LH: Replacement

COMPONENTS: See LIGHTING 

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS (See  REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  ) 
  2. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY FRONT LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the height control sensor link.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts and height control sensor sub-assy front LH.

  3. INSTALL HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY FRONT LH 
    1. Install the height control sensor sub-assy front LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf) 

    2. Install the nut.

      Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) 

    3. Connect the connector.
  4. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS (See  REMOVAL & INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. ADJUST HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY FRONT LH 
    1. Adjust the front height control sensor link.
      1. Loosen the lock nut of the height control sensor link.
      2. While the vehicle is unloaded, adjust the length of the height control sensor's arm by rotating the link so that the arm is set in the normal position.

      3. Check that the length of the threaded part, dimension (A) in Fig 3 , is shorter than the standard value.

        Standard: 14 mm (0.55 In.)

      4. Tighten the look nut of the height control sensor link.

    Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) 

  6. HEADLIGHT AIM ONLY (See  ADJUSTMENT  )
