Rear Power Window Switch

NOTE: Front power window switches are part of door electronic control unit (ECU). Testing of switch must be done as part of ECU testing. See BODY CONTROL SYSTEMS - AVALON article under COMMUNICATION DEVICES in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.

Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between specified terminals with power window switch in specified position. See Fig 1. See REAR POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY  table. Replace rear power window switch if continuity is not as specified. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

Switch Position DVOM Test Connections Specification
UP 5 & 4; 2 & 6 Continuity
OFF 4 & 6; 2 & 6 No Continuity
DOWN 2 & 5; 4 & 6 Continuity
