Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the taillight relay. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the taillight relay located in the LH cowl side junction block behind the left side kick panel.
  2. Check the wiring harness and connector between the taillight relay and body ECU, battery and taillight relay. If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
