Front Power Seat Control System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Inspect the continuity between each terminal when each switch is operated.

      Standard (Slide switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 9 (1) (4 <==> 6) FRONT Continuity
      (1) (6 <==> 4 <==> 9) OFF Continuity
      (1) (4 <==> 9) 1 <==> 6 REAR Continuity
      (1) Except memory seat.If the result is not as specified, replace the front power switch.

      Standard (Front vertical switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 5 4 <==> 10 UP Continuity
      (1) (5 <==> 4 <==> 10) OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 10 (1) (4 <==> 5) DOWN Continuity
      (1) Except memory seat.If the result is not as specified, replace the front power switch.

      Standard (Lifter switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 7 (1) (4 <==> 8) UP Continuity
      (1) (7 <==> 4 <==> 8) OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 8 (1) (4 <==> 7) DOWN Continuity
      (1) Except memory seat.If the result is not as specified, replace the front power switch.

      Standard (Reclining switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 3 (1)(2 <==> 4) FRONT Continuity
      (1) (2 <==> 4 <==> 3) OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 2 (1)(3 <==> 4) REAR Continuity
      (1) Except memory seat.If the result is not as specified, replace the front power switch.

  2. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH 
    1. Inspect the continuity between each terminal when each switch is operated.

      Standard (Slide switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 9 4 <==> 6 FRONT Continuity
      6 <==> 4 <==> 9 OFF Continuity
      4 <==> 9 1 <==> 6 REAR Continuity

      Standard (Front vertical switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 5 4 <==> 10 UP Continuity
      5 <==> 4 <==> 10 OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 10 4 <==> 5 DOWN Continuity

      Standard (Rear vertical switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 8 4 <==> 7 UP Continuity
      7 <==> 4 <==> 8 OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 7 4 <==> 8 DOWN Continuity

      Standard (Reclining switch): 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 3 2 <==> 4 FRONT Continuity
      2 <==> 4 <==> 3 OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 2 3 <==> 4 REAR Continuity

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front power switch.

  3. INSPECT POWER SEAT FRONT LH SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Inspect the continuity between each terminal when each switch is operated.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Switch position Specified condition
      1 <==> 4 2 <==> 3 FRONT Continuity
      3 <==> 2 <==> 4 OFF Continuity
      1 <==> 3 2 <==> 4 REAR Continuity

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat switch.

  4. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSY RH 
    1. Inspect the motor operation.

      Standard: 

      TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester condition Specified condition
      Battery positive voltage <==> 1
      Battery negative voltage <==> 2
      Clockwise
      Battery positive voltage <==> 2
      Battery negative voltage <==> 1
      Counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat motor.

  5. INSPECT FRONT UP, DOWN POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY 
    1. Inspect the motor operation.
      1. Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminal.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester condition Specified condition
        Battery positive voltage <==> 1
        Battery negative voltage <==> 2
        Clockwise
        Battery positive voltage <==> 2
        Battery negative voltage <==> 1
        Counterclockwise

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat motor.

  6. INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY 
    1. Inspect the motor operation.
      1. Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminal.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL SPECIFIED CONDITION

        Tester condition Specified condition
        Battery positive voltage <==> 1
        Battery negative voltage <==> 2
        Clockwise
        Battery positive voltage <==> 2
        Battery negative voltage <==> 1
        Counterclockwise

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat motor.
