Section 203 (YAWRATE Sensor): Replacement

NOTE:
Do not separate the sensor from the bracket.
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER REAR (see REPLACEMENT ) in INSTRUMENT PANEL/METER article.
- Apply parking brake:
- Set the shift lever in the N position.
- Turn the shift lever knob sub-assy counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assy.
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER REAR
- REMOVE RR CONSOLE BOX
(see REPLACEMENT
) in INSTRUMENT PANEL/METER article.
- TMC made:
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
- TMMK made:
Remove the 2 bolts < C > and 2 screws < H >.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the RR console box.
- TMC made:
- REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR
- Disconnect the yawrate sensor connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and yawrate sensor.
- INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR
- Install the yawrate sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)
- Connect the yawrate sensor connector.
- Install the yawrate sensor with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL RR CONSOLE BOX (Reverse removal)
- INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER REAR (Reverse removal)
- PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (See PRE-CHECK )
