Section 430 (Cruise Control Systems): Cable: Removal

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the servo bracket bolt.
Remove speed control cable from throttle cam by sliding clasp out hole used for throttle cable (Fig 1 ).
Remove the throttle cable (with retaining tab) and then slide cable speed control cable out from bracket.
Disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum hose.

Remove two nuts attaching mounting bracket and speed control cable to servo (Fig 2 ).

Pull cable away from servo to expose retaining clip and remove clip attaching cable to servo (Fig 3 ).

Disconnect the vacuum line connection at intake manifold.
Remove cable.
