Section 430 (Cruise Control Systems): Cable: Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the servo bracket bolt.
- Remove speed control cable from throttle cam by sliding clasp out hole used for throttle cable (Fig 1 ).
- Remove the throttle cable (with retaining tab) and then slide cable speed control cable out from bracket.
- Disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum hose.
- Remove two nuts attaching mounting bracket and speed control cable to servo (Fig 2 ).
- Pull cable away from servo to expose retaining clip and remove clip attaching cable to servo (Fig 3 ).
- Disconnect the vacuum line connection at intake manifold.
- Remove cable.
