Seat Belt: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. When fastening the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON).
      1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL NO. AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Terminal No. Specified condition
        A1 <=> A4 330 Ω
        A1 <=> A6 Continuity
        A2 <=> B2 Continuity
        A5 <=> B1 Continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.

    2. When releasing the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF).
      1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL NO. AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Terminal No. Specified condition
        A1 <=> A4 1,330 Ω
        A1 <=> A6 No continuity
        A2 <=> B2 Continuity
        A5 <=> B1 Continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Short between connector terminals 1 and 3 of the occupation sensor.

    2. When fastening the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON).
      1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL NO. AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Terminal No. Specified condition
        1 <=> 6 Continuity
        1 <=> 4 No continuity
        2 <=> 5 Continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.

    3. When releasing the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF).
      1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL NO. AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Terminal No. Specified condition
        1 <=> 6 No continuity
        1 <=> 4 Continuity
        2 <=> 5 Continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.

    4. Release the between terminals 1 and 3 of the occupation sensor connector.

    5. When fastening the seat belt (Buckle switch is ON).
      1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL NO. AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Terminal No. Specified condition
        1 <=> 6 Continuity
        1 <=> 4 No continuity
        2 <=> 5 No continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.

    6. When releasing the seat belt (Buckle switch is OFF).
      1. Inspect the continuity and resistance between the terminals.

        Standard: 

        TERMINAL NO. AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Terminal No. Specified condition
        1 <=> 6 No continuity
        1 <=> 4 Continuity
        2 <=> 5 No continuity

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat inner belt assembly.

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Inspect the operation.
      1. Connecting the battery positive to terminal 1 and the battery negative to terminal 2, check the operating noise that the magnetized solenoid is attracting the plunger.
      2. Check that the rewinding volume of the seat belt will increase when the seat belt is pulled out and the battery negative is disconnected.

        NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to the pretensioner connector.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly.

  4. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY RH 
    1. Inspect the operation.
      1. Connecting the battery positive to terminal 1 and the battery negative to terminal 2, check the operating noise that the magnetized solenoid is attracting the plunger.
      2. Check that the rewinding volume of the seat belt will increase when the seat belt is pulled out and the battery negative is disconnected.

        NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to the pretensioner connector.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly.
