Without Hand-Held Tester
- Disconnect short pin from (DLC1). See Fig 1.
- Using special tool (09843-18020), jumper between terminals Tc and E1
of (DLC1). See Fig 2.
- Turn ignition switch to ON. Read DTCs from ABS warning light flashing patterns on combination meter. For flashing patterns of normal and codes 11 and 21, see Fig 3.
- If any DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- If 2 or more DTCs are indicated at the same time the lowest numbered DTC will be displayed first.
- If no DTCs are stored in memory, inspect the diagnostic circuit or ABS warning light circuit. Perform appropriate test under SYSTEM TESTING .
- After completing the check, disconnect jumper wire and install short pin.
