Shift Cable: Installation

Install shift cable using the following steps:
1. Connect shift cable with nut and clip to transmission. See Fig 6.
2. Pull in shift cable to body.
3. Connect shift cable with nut and clip to gearshift lever assembly. See Fig 7.
4. Install shift cable with 4 nuts. See Fig 8.
Connect connectors and install console upper panel engaging 11 clips. See Fig 5.
Install console upper panel garnish No. 1 with 4 clips. See Fig 4.
Install console upper panel garnish No. 2 with 3 clips. See Fig 3.
Install gearshift lever knob. See Fig 2.
Install transfer shift lever knob. See Fig 1.
Connect negative battery terminal.
Adjust and inspect shift lever position. See SHIFT LEVER under ADJUSTMENTS.
