Power Window Regulator Motor (Front): Installation

NOTE: On driver's side, never rotate the motor to the down direction until the window glass installation is complete.

Install the window regulator motor. See Figure. Align the matchmarks on the regulator motor bracket and regulator gear. Install the 3 screws. If having rotated the motor only, reset the motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR (LIMIT SWITCH & PULSE SWITCH) RESET under ADJUSTMENTS.

NOTE: Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the window regulator. See Fig 1.

Install the window regulator with the 6 bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Connect the connector and attach the clamps.

CAUTION: Do not damage the door glass.

Install the door glass. See Figure. Put the door glass in the door panel carefully. Install the door glass with the 2 bolts to the window regulator. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
Install the front door belt moulding with the screw. See Figure.
Install the No. 2 service hole cover with the 2 screws.
Install the front door inside panel plate with the 2 screws.
Install the service hole cover to the door panel. See Figure. When installing the service hole cover, pull out the links and connectors through the service hole cover. There should be no wrinkles or folds after attaching the service hole cover. After attaching the service hole cover, sealing condition shall be confirmed. Install the door trim bracket with the 2 screws.
Install the inside handle. Connect the 2 cables to the inside handle, then install the inside handle with the screw. At the time of locking cable reassembly:
- Set the door lock assembly to the LOCK position.
- Hold the lock knob to the LOCK position by hand and do not pull the cable, while connecting the locking cable.

CAUTION:

Do not pry with riveter, as riveter may be damaged, rivit is not tightened and the mandrel is bent.
Do not tilt the riveter and disconnect the rivet from the material while handling a riveter, as the materials are not tightened firmly.
Install the rivet while attaching the materials, as they are not tightened firmly.

Install the front No. 1 speaker using an air riveter or hand riveter. See Fig 2. Connect the connector.
Install the outside rear view mirror with the bolt. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Connect the connector.
Install the front No. 2 speaker with the 2 bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Connect the 2 connectors.
Install the front door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (FRONT) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK LID article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
