Bulb Circuit
NOTE:
If not using the hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 2.
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Fig 1. Turn the ignition switch ON and the hand-held tester main switch ON. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the hand-held tester. Check that the light turns ON or OFF as the hand-held tester directs (all lights flash except shift indicator). If the light operates normally, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX table. If the results are not good, go to the next step.
- Check the bulb. Apply the tester as shown to test for continuity. See Fig 2. If there is continuity, go to the next step. If there is not continuity, replace the bulb.
- Check the circuit plate. See COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT . If the results are OK, check and replace the combination meter. See COMBINATION METER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the results are not good, replace the circuit plate. See COMBINATION METER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
