Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the headlight beam level control ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS in appropriate AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS, HEADLIGHT LEVELING & LIGHTING SYSTEMS article. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the headlight beam level control ECU located behind the glove compartment. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . For removal and installation, see appropriate INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
  2. Check the wiring harness and connector between the headlight beam level control ECU and passenger side junction block (body No. 3) ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 3 CONTROL SYSTEM)  table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
