Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the headlight cleaner switch. See appropriate WIPER/WASHER & HEADLIGHT CLEANER SYSTEMS article. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the headlight cleaner switch located on the lower center finish panel. For removal and installation of switch, see appropriate INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
  2. Check the wiring harness and connector between the headlight cleaner switch and driver side junction block (body No. 2) ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM)  table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
