Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
If not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 2.
- Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Figure. Check that the turn signal light can operate in an ACTIVE TEST. The LH and RH lights can be checked separately. If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM) table. If the results are not good, go to the next step.
- Check the turn signal light bulb. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the failed turn signal light bulb.
- Check the wiring harness and connector between the turn signal light and driver side junction block (body No. 2) ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM) table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
