Mirror Glass Replacement

  1. Press in inboard side of mirror glass to gain access to back of mirror. Reach fingers behind outboard side of mirror glass and carefully unlatch both ends of wire retainer. See Fig 1. Disconnect mirror heater electrical harness connector, if equipped, and remove mirror glass.
  2. To install new mirror glass, connect mirror heater electrical harness connector, if equipped. Install wire retainer to back of mirror. Carefully align 2 alignment tabs on back of mirror with slots on mirror motor inside housing.
  3. Firmly press mirror glass into place to engage all 6 lugs of wire retainer. See Fig 1. Using light pressure, press on mirror glass with open palm and rock mirror through full range of motion to ensure all 6 lugs of wire retainer are engaged on back of mirror. Confirm all retainer lugs are engaged on back of mirror by gently pulling on edges of mirror. Operate power mirror to ensure it operates through full range of motion.
