Steering Sensor: Notes

WARNING: Vehicles are equipped with air bag supplemental restraint system. Before attempting any repairs involving steering column, instrument panel or related components, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Work must not be started before 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to "LOCK" and the negative (-) terminal is disconnected from the battery. The air bag system is equipped with a back-up system and may deploy if work is started before 90 seconds.
