Motor Operation

  1. Remove door panel for access to suspect power window motor. See Figure. On driver door, disconnect 6-pin electrical harness connector from power window motor. On front passenger and both rear doors, disconnect 2-pin electrical harness connector from power window motor.
  2. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to power window motor terminals No. 1 and 2 and check that power window motor rotates clockwise. See STEP 1 of Fig 1.
  3. Reverse jumper wires so polarity is reversed and check that power window motor rotates counterclockwise. See STEP 2 of Fig 1. Replace power window motor if operation is not as specified.
