Inspection Procedure

NOTE: In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step 2.

Check headlight control switch using TOYOTA hand-held tester.
Preparation connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC 3.

Check the headlight control switch using DATA LIST.

OK

1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
2. NG : Go to step 2.
Check headlight control switch . See INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH CONTINUITY .
1. NG : Replace the headlight control switch.
2. OK : Go to step 3.
Check wire harness and connector between headlight control switch and Body ECU . See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in problem symptoms. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
