How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

NOTE: Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedures in this article.
  1. Vehicle Brought To Workshop 
  2. Customer Problem Analysis Check And Symptom Check (See Page  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK  ) 
  3. (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
  4. Perform Troubleshooting 
    1. (See PRE-CHECK )
    2. Circuit inspection (See CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION for related symptom under PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
  5. Adjust, Repair Or Replace 
  6. Reset Power Window Motor 
    1. If any of the power window switch illuminations is blinking after repair, reset the power window.
      1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
      2. Open the driver side door glass.
      3. Pull up the AUTO switch fully of the power window master switch until the door glass closes.
      4. Check that the AUTO UP/DOWN function operates completely.

NOTE: Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedures on the following pages.

  2. Customer Problem Analysis Check And Symptom Check (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK  ) 
  3. Diagnostic Trouble Code Check (See  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  ) 
    1. Check for DTCs and make a note of the code that is output.
    2. Delete the DTC.
    3. Check if the DTC will be output once again when the problem symptom is simulated based on the noted code.
      1. With an output of the code, proceed to A.
      2. Without an output of the code, proceed to B.
        1. A: Go to step   5 
        2. B: Go to Next Step

  5. Perform Troubleshooting 
    1. (See PRE-CHECK )
    2. (See TERMINALS OF ECU )
    3. Circuit inspection (See INSPECTION PROCEDURE  - INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
  6. Adjust, Repair Or Replace 
  7. Reset Power Window Motor 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Open the back door glass.
    3. Push down the back door power window switch until the door glass is fully closed, and hold the switch 1 second more even after the door glass is fully closed.
    4. Check that the AUTO UP/DOWN function operates completely.
