Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes: Notes

NOTE: Always record DTCs during retrieval. DTCs will be erased from memory when DTCs are retrieved.

NOTE: An OBD II scan tool complying with SAE J1978 can be used if Toyota hand-held tester is not available.
