Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
If not using the hand-held tester, begin with step 2.
- Check the power window motor using the hand-held tester. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Figure. Check that the power window motor can operate in an ACTIVE TEST. If the results are OK, check the appropriate door ECU (driver door ECU with master switch or passenger door ECU with power window switch). If the results are not good, go to the next step.
- Check the power window motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR (FRONT) under COMPONENT TESTS. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the power window motor. See WINDOW REGULATOR (FRONT DOOR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Check the wiring harness and connector between the power window motor and the appropriate door ECU (driver door ECU with master switch or passenger door ECU with power window switch). If the results are OK, check the appropriate door ECU (driver door ECU with master switch or passenger door ECU with power window switch). If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
