Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the power window switch circuit using DTC check. See DTC B1225/25: POWER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT (REAR RIGHT) & DTC B1226/26: POWER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT (REAR LEFT) under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS under MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM article under COMMUNICATION DEVICES in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, perform the next test procedure of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not good, go to the next step.
  2. Check the power window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH (PASSENGER & REAR)  under COMPONENT TESTS. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the power window switch. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (REAR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE RELEASE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
  3. Check the wiring harness and connector between the power window switch and appropriate rear door ECU. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
  4. Check the wiring harness and connector between the power window switch and power window master switch. If the results are OK, perform the next test procedure of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
