Test B: Down Function Does Not Work Though Some Objects Are Caught In Power Window Glass

  1. If the system in the jam protection operates the condition (the AUTO UP operation works with the ignition switch ON, one-touch operation), then go to the next step. If the system does not operate the specified condition, then it is normal and perform the function check.
  2. If the power window is within the jam protection operating area (out of the operating area: area around the fully closed position), then it is normal and after performing the operation check repeatedly, conduct the function check. If the power window is out of the operating area, go to the next step.
  3. Reset the limit switch. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR (LIMIT SWITCH & PULSE SWITCH) RESET  under ADJUSTMENTS.
  4. If the power window operates normally, then perform the operation check repeatedly and conduct the function check. If the power window does not operate normally, the master switch is defective. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (FRONT) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE RELEASE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
