Power Steering Vane Pump: Installation
- INSTALL PS VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
Temporarily install the PS vane pump assembly with the 2 ("A" and "B") bolts.
- INSTAL DRIVE BELT
- Adjust drive belt tension (See DRIVE BELT ).
- Using SST, torque the bolt "A".
- SST 09249-63010
- Torque: 29 N.m (300 kgf.cm, 32 ft.Ibf)
HINT:
Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.).
- Torque the bolt "B".
- Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.Ibf)
- CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE
Install a new gasket and connect the pressure feed tube to the PS vane pump assembly with the union bolt.
HINT:
Make sure the stopper of the pressure feed tube touches the front bracket as shown in the illustration, then install the union bolt.
- Torque: 52 N.m (530 kgf, 33 ft.Ibf)
- INSTALL OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
- Install the oil pressure switch to the union bolt.
- Torque: 1 N.m (210 kgf.cm, 15 ft.Ibf)
- Connect the connector to the oil pressure switch.
NOTE: Be careful to prevent oil from being attached to the connector. - Install the oil pressure switch to the union bolt.
- CONNECT RETURN HOSE
Connect the return hose with the clip.
