Inspection Procedure

1. NO: Go to step   3 
2. YES: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Using the hand-held tester, check the rear outer view mirror condition by the data monitor.

   Standard: 

Driver side J/B 

1. OK: FLOW CHART 2 (See  DOOR MIRROR CIRCUIT (FLOW CHART 2)  ) 
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Check the continuity between each terminal of the retract switch.

   Standard: 

   SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Switch position	Terminals	Specified condition
   Retract	-	No continuity
   Return	4 <--> 5	Continuity

1. NG: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Disconnect the retract switch and driver side J/B connectors.
2. Check the continuity between each terminal of the retract switch vehicle's side connector and the driver side J/B vehicle's side connector (See TERMINALS OF ECU ).

   Standard: 

   TERMINAL CHART
   
   

   Terminals (Mirror SW - Driver J/B)	Specified Condition
   M4-4 <--> D5-8 (Retract SW <-->RET)	Continuity

HINT:

• With hand-held tester, proceed to OK-A.
• Without hand-held tester, proceed to OK-B.

1. OK-B: FLOW CHART 2 (See  DOOR MIRROR CIRCUIT (FLOW CHART 2)  ) 
2. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR 
3. OK-A: REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK
