Testing TP Sensor

Disconnect electrical connector from TP sensor. Note electrical terminals on TP sensor. See Fig 1-Fig 2 .

Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals VC and E2 on TP sensor. See Fig 1-Fig 2 . Replace TP sensor if resistance is not within specification. See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE (ES300, GS300, IS300, GS430 & LS430 table.
