No-Load Test

CAUTION:
DO NOT operate starter for more than 3-5 seconds.
Connect battery and ammeter to starter as indicated. See Figure. Perform STEP 4. Starter armature should rotate smoothly and steadily with pinion gear moving out. Amperage draw should be 100-Amps or less at 11.5 Volts.
