Cruise Control Main Switch ASSY: Replacement

  1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (See  AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  ) 
  2. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2 
  4. REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  5. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE  ) 
  6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  7. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
  8. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Reverse the steering wheel, remove the 3 screws and cruise control main switch assy.

    3. Disengage the wiring pins other than the cruise control main switch assy from the connector, and pull them out.

  9. CENTER SPIRAL CABLE (See  SPIRAL CABLE  ) 
  10. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  11. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT 
  12. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE  ) 
  13. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (See  SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  ) 
  14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See  DIAGNOSTICS  )
