Stereo Component Controller ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

COMPONENTS: See COMPONENTS 

  1. SHIP MODE SETTING (W/ CD CHANGER) 
    1. Take out all of the CDs.
      NOTE: If they cannot be taken out, do not attempt to take out forcibly and send the unit for repair.
    2. While simultaneously pressing the "SEEK UP" and "DISC" switches, turn the ignition switch to ACC.

      HINT:

      When the ship mode has been set, "SHIP" must be displayed.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and disconnect the battery negative terminal.
      NOTE: Connecting the battery negative terminal automatically finishes the ship mode.

  2. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL ASSEMBLY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER PANEL (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. SHIP MODE CONFIRMATION(W/ CD CHANGER) 
    1. See the back side of the radio receiver assy and check that the window provided for mode checking is red.
      NOTE: If not, perform the ship mode setting again.

  5. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT CONTROLLER ASSY 
    1. Remove the 6 screws and stereo component controller assy together with the bracket.
      NOTE:
      • If it has the stereo component controller assy, do not touch the front surface to prevent the damage or dirty at the LCD part and on the substrate.
      • Do not touch on the back surface of the radio receiver panel.
      • Do not twist the panel.
      • Do not press strongly from the back surface.
      • Do not remove the radio bracket for not causing the ill-fitted condition.
      • When replacing stereo component controller assy, it must be replaced together with the radio bracket. (It is because radio bracket requires the adjustment when installing the radio receiver)

  6. INSTALL STEREO COMPONENT CONTROLLER ASSY 
    1. Install the 6 screws and stereo component controller assy.
      NOTE:
      • At the installation of the panel assy and the body assy, check that no gap exists between the panel assy and the body assy after tightening the screw.
      • When replacing stereo component controller assy, it must be replaced together with the radio bracket.
