Brake Line

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Bleed air from rear brake first. If front brake is bled first, rear brake air cannot be bled.
  1. Fill reservoir with brake fluid.
  2. Connect vinyl tube to brake caliper bleeder screw and place other end in a half-full container of brake fluid.
  3. Depress brake pedal several times, then loosen bleeder screw with pedal held down.
  4. When fluid starts to run out, tighten bleeder screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Release brake pedal. Repeat  3 and  4 until all air in fluid has been bled out.
  6. Repeat procedure to bleed air out of brake line for each wheel.
  7. Check fluid level and add fluid if necessary.
