Combination Meter Circuit Plate

  1. Combination Meter Circuit -  Inspect the combination meter circuit. Disconnect connector A and B from the combination meter and inspect the connectors on the wiring harness side. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT  table. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts.
    INSPECTING COMBINATION METER CIRCUIT

    A1 - Ground Ignition Switch OFF Or ACC No Voltage
    A1 - Ground Ignition Switch ON B+ Voltage
    A3 - Ground Constant B+ Voltage
    A8 - Ground Constant B+ Voltage
    A9 - Ground Light Control Switch HI Or FLASH B+ Voltage
    A11 - Ground Constant Continuity
    A12 - Ground Light Control Switch TAIL Or HEAD B+ Voltage
    A14 - Ground Constant B+ Voltage
    A15 - Ground Float Position Of Fuel Sender Gauge Full Resistance 4 Ohms
    A15 - Ground Float Position Of Fuel Sender Gauge Full Resistance 107 Ohms
    A20 - Ground Light Control Switch HI Or FLASH Continuity
    A22 - Ground Constant Continuity
    B2 - Ground Window Washer Level Warning Switch ON Continuity
    B6 - B7 Rheostat Knob Full Right Turn Resistance 8-12 k Ohms
    B6 - B7 Light Control Rheostat Knob Full Left Turn Resistance 0 Ohm
    B10 - B7 Constant Resistance 8-12 k Ohms
    B14 - B7 Light Control Rheostat Knob Full Left Turn No Continuity
  2. Instrument Panel Integration ECU Circuit -  Inspect the instrument panel integration ECU circuit. Remove the combination meter cover. Inspect the connectors on the ECU as follows. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING INSTRUMENT PANEL INTEGRATION ECU CIRCUIT  table. If the circuit is not as specified, replace the circuit plate. See COMBINATION METER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

    E3 - A1 Continuity
    E4 - A1 Continuity
    E11 - A22 Continuity
    E12 - A22 Continuity
    E13 - A22 Continuity
    E14 - A11 Continuity
    F1 - C10 Continuity
    F2 - C11 Continuity
    F3 - C12 Continuity
    F4 - C13 Continuity
    F5 - C14 Continuity
    F6 - C16 Continuity
    F7 - C18 Continuity
    F8 - A9 Continuity
    F10 - A20 Continuity
    F9 - A8 Continuity
    F12 - A6 Continuity
    F13 - B2 Continuity
    F14 - A10 Continuity
  3. Combination Meter ECU Circuit -  Inspect the combination meter ECU circuit. Remove the combination meter cover. Inspect the connectors on the instrument panel integration ECU as follows. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING COMBINATION METER ECU CIRCUIT  table. If the circuit is not as specified, replace the bulb or combination meter ECU.

    F5 - E3, E4 CRUISE MAIN Indicator Light Continuity
    F6 - E3, E4 Malfunction Indicator Light Continuity
    F7 - E3, E4 ABS Warning Light Continuity
    F8 - F10 HI-Beam Indicator Light Continuity
    F9 - F14 SRS Indicator Light Continuity
    F12 - E3, E4 O/D OFF Indicator Light Continuity
    F13 - E3, E4 Washer Level Warning Light Continuity
