Valve Body Assembly: Installation

Install solenoid valves using the following steps:
1. Install solenoid valves SLU and SLT and lock plate with bolt.
2. Coat 2 new "O" rings with automatic transmission fluid.
3. Install 2 "O" rings to solenoid valves No. 2 and 4.
4. Install solenoid valve SLN with bolt.
5. Install solenoid valves No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 with 4 bolts. See Fig 4.
6. Install check ball body and spring. See Fig 3.
7. Align the groove of manual valve with pin of lever. See Fig 5.
8. Install the 20 bolts. See Fig 2. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install solenoid valve wiring with ATF temperature sensor using the following steps:
1. Connect 7 connectors to solenoid valves.
2. Install clamp with bolt. See Fig 1.
3. Connect ATF temperature sensor.
Install oil filter. See DRAINING & REFILLING under LUBRICATION.
Install oil pan. See DRAINING & REFILLING under LUBRICATION.
Install new gasket and drain plug. Tighten drain plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Lower vehicle.
Fill and inspect automatic transmission fluid. See DRAINING & REFILLING under LUBRICATION.
