Front Door: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL COVER 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the inside handle bezel cover.

    HINT:

    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE DOOR TRIM 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws.
    2. Insert a screwdriver between the door panel and door trim to pry out.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Pull the trim upward to remove it, then disconnect the courtesy light connector.
    4. Remove the courtesy light from the door trim.
    5. Remove the 2 cables from the door inside handle.

  3. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH 
    1. Remove the nut.
    2. Remove the door frame garnish.
  4. REMOVE TWEETER SPEAKER 
  5. REMOVE OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts.
    2. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
  6. REMOVE SPEAKER 
  7. REMOVE DRIVER DOOR ECU 
  8. REMOVE SERVICE HOLE COVER 
  9. REMOVE DOOR GLASS 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.
    2. Pull the glass out off the panel carefully.

      HINT:

      At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

      Insert a shop rag inside the panel to prevent scratching the glass.

  10. REMOVE WINDOW REGULATOR 

    Torque: 11 N.m (112 kgf.cm, 8 ft.lbf)

    HINT:

    At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

    Apply MP grease to the window regulator rollers.

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME 
  12. REMOVE DOOR GLASS RUN 
  13. REMOVE DOOR BELT MOULDING

  14. REMOVE DOOR BELT MOULDING

  15. REMOVE DOOR LOCK 
    1. Disconnect the 2 links from the outside handle and key cylinder.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Remove the bolt.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) 

    4. Remove the 3 screws and door lock.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) 

      HINT:

      At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item. Apply adhesive to the 3 screws.

      Part No.08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent. 

      HINT:

      AT the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

      Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the door lock.

  16. REMOVE OUTSIDE HANDLE 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts and handle.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) 

    3. Remove the key cylinder from the handle.
