Inspection Procedure
HINT:
- Even though the terminal TC is not connected with terminal E1, the MIL blinks.
- For the above phenomenon, an open or short in the wire harness, or malfunction inside the ECM is likely.
- Check voltage between terminals TC and E1 of DLC1.
PREPARATION:
Turn the ignition switch ON.
CHECK:
Measure the voltage between terminals TC and E1 of the DLC3.

OK:
Voltage: 9 to 14 V
- OK: Go to step 3 .
- NG: Go to next step.
- Check continuity between terminal E1 of DLC1 and body ground.
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between ECM and DLC1 (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE
).
- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK: Replace ECM (See ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) ).
