Rear Door: Adjustment

  1. ADJUST DOOR IN FORWARD/REARWARD AND VERTICAL DIRECTIONS 
    1. Remove the front door inside scuff plate.
    2. Remove the rear door inside scuff plate.
    3. Remove the center pillar lower garnish.
    4. Remove the seat belt pretensioner (See REMOVAL ).

    5. Adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge nuts.
      1. Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) 
    6. Install the seat belt pretensioner (See INSTALLATION ).
    7. Install the lower center pillar garnish
    8. Install the rear door inside scuff plate.
    9. Install the front door inside scuff plate.

  2. ADJUST DOOR IN LEFT/RIGHT AND VERTICAL DIRECTIONS 

    Adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.

    1. Torque: 30 N.m (306 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbf)

  3. ADJUST DOOR LOCK STRIKER 
    1. Check that the door fit and door lock linkages are adjusted correctly.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the striker cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a hammer.
    4. Tighten the striker mounting screws again.
      1. Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf.cm, 17 ft.lbf) 
    5. Install the striker cover.
