Inspection Procedure

Read current DTC.

PREPARATION:

Connect the hand-held tester or the OBD II scan tool to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the hand-held tester or the OBD II scan tool main switch ON.
On the hand-held tester, select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS/ENHANCED OBD II/DTC INFO/CURRENT CODES.

CHECK:

Read DTCs.

RESULT:

RESULT

Display (DTC Output)	Proceed To
P0630	A
P0630 and other DTCs	B

NOTE: If P0630 is present, the VIN must be input to the ECM using the hand-held tester. However, all DTCs are cleared automatically by the tester when inputting the VIN. If DTCs other than P0630 are present, check them first.

B: Go to relevant DTC chart (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).

A: Go to next step.

Input VIN using the hand-held tester (See PRE-CHECK ).
