Smart Key System - Diagnostics: Inspection

INSPECT OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE (LOCK SWITCH)

Remove the outside door handle.
Check the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Condition	Switch Connection	Specified Condition
4 - 5	Switch pushed	Below 1 Ω
4 - 5	Switch not pushed	10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the outside door handle.

INSPECT SMART KEY CANCEL SWITCH

Remove the smart key cancel switch.
Check the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Condition	Switch Connection	Specified Condition
1 - 2	Switch pushed	Below 1 Ω
1 - 2	Switch not pushed	10 kΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the smart key cancel switch.
