Steering Pad Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and the pin.
    2. Install the steering pad switch RH with the screw.

    3. Engage the 2 claws and the pin.
    4. Install the steering pad switch LH with the screw.

    5. Connect each connector.
  2. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See extxref document="A00312388" filetype="sgml" extrefid="S22725104562009041400000">INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL LOWER NO.3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See extxref document="A00312388" filetype="sgml" extrefid="S22725104562009041400000">INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL LOWER NO.2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See extxref document="A00312388" filetype="sgml" extrefid="S22725104562009041400000">INSTALLATION )
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. (See INITIALIZATION )
  7. INSPECT STEERING PAD 

    (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).

  8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
