Power Mirror Control System: Inspection

  1. W/o Memory seat: INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY

    1. Select "L" on the left/right adjustment switch:

      Check the switch resistance.

      Standard:

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

    2. Select "R" on the left/right adjustment switch:

      Check the switch resistance.

      Standard:

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

  2. W/Memory seat: INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY

    1. Check the switch resistance.

      Standard:

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

    2. Check the left/right adjustment switch resistance.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
      1 - 2 L 90 - 110 Ω
      1 - 2 R 10 Ω. or less

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

  3. W/Memory seat: INSPECT SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

    1. Check the switch resistance.

      Standard:

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

  4. W/Memory seat: INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH 
    1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror.

      Standard: 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION SPECIFICATION

      Measurement Condition Mirror Operation
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 (LMVR) Turns upward (A)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 10 (LM+R) Turns upward (A)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 10 (LM+R) Turns downward (B)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 (LMVR) Turns downward (B)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 10 (LM+R) Turns left (C)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 9 (LMHR) Turns left (C)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 9 (LMHR) Turns right (D)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 10 (LM+R) Turns right (D)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.

  5. W/o Memory seat: INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH 
    1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror.

      Standard: 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION SPECIFICATION

      Measurement Condition Mirror Operation
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 2 (MV) Turns upward (A)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns upward (A)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns downward (B)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 2 (MV) Turns downward (B)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns left (C)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 (MH) Turns left (C)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 (MH Turns right (D)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns right (D)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.

  6. W/Memory seat: INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH 
    1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror.

      Standard: 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION SPECIFICATION

      Measurement Condition Mirror Operation
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 (RMVR) Turns upward (A)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 10 (RM+R) Turns upward (A)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 10 (RM+R) Turns downward (B)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 (RMVR) Turns downward (B)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 10 (RM+R) Turns right (D)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 9 (RMHR) Turns right (D)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 9 (RMHR) Turns left (C)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 10 (RM+R) Turns left (C)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.

  7. W/o Memory seat: INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH 
    1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror.

      Standard: 

      MEASUREMENT CONDITION SPECIFICATION

      Measurement Condition Mirror Operation
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 2 (MV) Turns upward (A)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns upward (A)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns downward (B)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 2 (MV) Turns downward (B)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns right (D)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 (MH) Turns right (D)
      Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 1 (MH) Turns left (C)
      Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 6 (M+) Turns left (C)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.
