Multi-Display (Center Display): Replacement

HINT:

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. w/ LEXUS Navigation System: REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD GARNISH SUB-ASSY (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. w/ LEXUS Navigation System: REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSY NO.2 (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  5. w/ LEXUS Navigation System: REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY CENTER 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
    2. Disconnect the connector. Then remove the multi-display (center display) (with panel) and clip.

  6. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY (CENTER DISPLAY) 
    1. Remove the 4 screws at the both sides of the instrument panel finish upper panel.

    2. Remove the 6 screws and instrument panel finish panel No. 1 retainer.

    3. Remove the 5 screws and instrument panel finish panel No. 2 retainer.
    4. Remove the instrument cluster finish center lower panel.

    5. Remove the 2 screws.

    6. Remove the 2 screws and wiring harness clamp.
    7. Disconnect the 4 connectors, then remove the clamp.
    8. Remove the multi-display.

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (See  INITIALIZATION  ) 
    NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  9. CHECK SRS WARNING LAMP (See  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  )
