Inspection Procedure

  1. READ DATA LIST 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the unlock warning switch.

      Transponder key ECU assy: 

      ITEM DIAGNOSTIC NOTE

      Item Measurement Item/Display (Range) Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      KEY SW Key unlock warning switch signal /ON or OFF ON: Key is in IG key cylinder
      OFF: No key is in IG key cylinder      		 -
    1. NG: Go to step   2 
    2. OK: Go to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  
  2. INSPECT UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the unlock warning switch.
    2. Measure the resistance of the switch.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Not pushed 10 k ohms or higher
      1 - 2 Pushed Below 1 ohms

    1. NG: REPLACE UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH ASSY 
    2. OK: Go to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
