Combination Meter - Diagnostics: Precaution

  1. DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT CABLE FROM/TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Before performing electronic work, disconnect the cable from negative (-) battery terminal in order to prevent it from shorting and burning out.
    2. When disconnecting and reconnecting the cable, loosen the cable's nut completely. Do not twist off or pry off the cable. Also, turn the ignition switch OFF and turn the lamp control switch OFF.
    3. Before removing the cable, write down any necessary clock memory, audio system settings, DTCs, etc. When the cable is removed, all memory will be erased. After installing the cable, reset memory as necessary.
      NOTE: When disconnecting the cable from negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the terminal is reconnected.
