Ignition Coil: Installation

  1. INSTALL IGNITION COIL 
    1. Install the 6 ignition coils with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 6 ignition coil connectors.

    3. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    1. Install the air cleaner cap with the air cleaner hose assembly with the 4 clamps and hose clamp.

      HINT:

      Be sure to install the air cleaner assembly so that the screw part of the hose clamp is as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the VSV for EVAP to the air cleaner hose.

    3. Connect the MAF meter connector and clamp to the air cleaner.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 
    1. Connect the ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover with the clamp.

  4. INSTALL V-BANK COVER (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  7. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
