Remote Up / Down Function does not Operate: Wiring Diagram

  1. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the manual UP/DOWN function of each switch operates normally.

      OK: Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    NG : OTHER PROBLEM 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK AUTO UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the AUTO UP/DOWN function of each switch operates normally.

      OK: AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally. 

    NG : OTHER PROBLEM 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the power window switch on the master switch.

      OK: ON (power window regulator switch on master switch operates) appears on screen. 

    NG : Go to step 4 

    OK : REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU - MULTIPLEX NETWORK SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the M4, P2 and O3 ECU connectors.
    2. Disconnect the Q6, T1 and S1 switch connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance: 

      Front passenger side 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      M4-7 (MPX3) - Q6-4 (MPX1) Below 1 Ω
      M4-7 (MPX3) or Q6-4 (MPX1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

      Rear LH 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P2-7 (MPX3) - T1-4 (MPX1) Below 1 Ω
      P2-20 (PWSL) - T1-11 (SEL2) Below 1 Ω
      P2-7 (MPX3) or T1-4 (MPX1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P2-20 (PWSL) or T1-11 (SEL2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

      Rear RH 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      O3-7 (MPX1) - S1-4 (MPX1) Below 1 Ω
      O3-20 (PWSL) - S1-10 (SEL1) Below 1 Ω
      O3-7 (MPX3) or S1-4 (MPX) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      O3-20 (PWSL) or S1-10 (SEL1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  5. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (WINDOW LOCK SIGNAL) 
    1. Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the power window switch on the master switch.

      Multiplex network master switch assembly

      P/W LOCK SW Power window LOCK switch signal ON/OFF ON: Power window LOCK switch ON
      OFF: Power window LOCK switch OFF

    NG : Go to step 6 

    OK : REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

  6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MASTER SWITCH - SWITCH)) 
    1. Disconnect the R5 switch connector.
    2. Disconnect the Q6, T1 and S1 switch connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance: 

      Front Passenger Side 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      R5-6 (PWS) - Q6-9 (PCT) Below 1 Ω
      R5-6 (PWS) or Q6-9 (PCT) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

      Rear LH 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      R5-6 (PWS) - T1-9 (PCT) Below 1 Ω
      R5-6 (PWS) or T1-9 (PCT) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

      Rear RH 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFICATION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      R5-6 (PWS) - S1-9 (PCT) Below 1 Ω
      R5-6 (PWS) or S1-9 (PCT) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK : REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
