On-Vehicle Inspection
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- INSPECT FUEL PUMP RELAY
- Remove the engine room No. 2 junction block cover.
- Remove the fuel pump from the engine room No. 2 junction block.
- Inspect the fuel pump relay resistance.
Standard resistance
TERMINAL NO AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTerminal No. Specified Condition 1 - 2 63 to 91 Ω 3 - 5 Below 10 kΩ or higher (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2) - Reinstall the fuel pump relay to the engine room No. 2 junction block.
- Reinstall the engine room No. 2 junction block cover.
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
