Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) (FOR GROUND) 
    1. Remove the power window switch (the connector is connected).
    2. Check the continuity between terminal 7 and the body ground.

      Standard: Continuity

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) (FOR POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Check the voltage between terminals 12 and 7.

      Standard: 10 - 14 V (Constant)

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH <==> POWER SOURCE) 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE) (FOR WINDOW LOCK SWITCH) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Check the voltage between terminals 11 and 7 when operating the window lock switch on the master switch.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SWITCH <==> MASTER SWITCH) 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SWITCH <==> MOTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the P7 power window switch connector.
    2. Remove the front door trim RH.
    3. Disconnect the P11 power window motor connector.
    4. Check the continuity between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      SWITCH TO MOTOR CONTINUITY

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P7-1 <==> P11-1 Continuity
      P7-6 <==> P11-2 Continuity
      P7-1 <==> Body ground No continuity
      P7-6 <==> Body ground No continuity

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  5. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    1. Remove the motor (See OVERHAUL ).
    2. Apply battery voltage to the connector between terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor rotates smoothly.
      NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to the terminals except 1 and 2.

      Standard:

    1. NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH (PASSENGER SIDE) 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE)
