Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Removal

  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  8. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  9. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  11. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  12. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUBASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  13. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT  ) 
  14. REMOVE NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  15. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  16. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY (See  REMOVAL   ) 
  17. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  18. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.

  19. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Intake Side) 
    1. Remove the bolt and V-bank cover bracket.

    2. Disconnect the oil control valve connector.
    3. Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
    4. Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.

  20. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Intake Side) 
    1. Disconnect the oil control valve connector.
    2. Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
    3. Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.

  21. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Disconnect the wiring harness to the bracket.
    2. Remove the bolt and bracket.

    3. Disconnect the oil control valve connector.
    4. Remove the bolt and oil control valve.
    5. Remove the O-ring from the oil control valve.
