Steering Knuckle: Installation

- INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE
- Install the steering knuckle to the upper suspension arm with a nut.
Torque: 87 N*m (887 kgf*cm, 64 ft.*lbf)
- Install a new clip.
NOTE: If the holes for the clip are not aligned, further tighten the nut up to 60°. - Install the steering knuckle to the upper suspension arm with a nut.
- INSTALL TIE ROD ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
- Install the tie rod end to the steering knuckle with the nut.
Torque: 65 N*m (663 kgf*cm, 48 ft.*lbf)
- Install a new clip.
NOTE: If the holes for the clip are not aligned, further tighten the nut up to 60°. - Install the tie rod end to the steering knuckle with the nut.
- INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)
- Install the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 120 N*m (1,224 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY (for 4WD)
- Install the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 120 N*m (1,224 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT DISC (See REASSEMBLY )
- INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) (See Step 7 in INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) (See Step 8 in INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB NUT (for 4WD)
- Using a socket wrench (30 mm), install a new axle hub nut.
Torque: 294 N*m (2,998 kgf*cm, 217 ft.*lbf)
- Using a chisel and hammer, stake the front axle hub nut.
- Using a socket wrench (30 mm), install a new axle hub nut.
- INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for 2WD) (See Step 10 in INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for 4WD) (See Step 11 in INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

- CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
